The wish to fly has burned in the human heart since the dawn of time. Tattoos, which express our secret desires and fantasies, celebrate this human wish to fly. Wings are the best way to show the dreams of flying, and tattoo artists creatively express the flying theme through Wing Tattoo Designs.
The back often forms an ideal canvas for wing tattoos. If wings were to really sprout, the back and the shoulder is where they would be found. This is what back wing tattoos depict, the dream of humans to grow wings and fly. Wings are often inked with a space in-between, leaving the area of the spine clear. Other wing designs meet at the center, right along the line of the spine. Wings are also inked with a large space between the two, and the spine acts as the line of balance in these designs. The symmetrical design made by wings looks beautiful on the back. The wrists and lower legs are also places where small wings are often inked. Wings combine with short phrases, the heart, flying birds, and other elements in stunning designs. Whether the design shows wings of a bird or an angel, the flying dream is constant.

Wing tattoos are so cool in design Heart Vines is the one wing tattoo which i liked the most.
Text Wings Tattoo is the cutest in this collection. I like it very much. ^^
None of the wings are anatomically correct. They also don’t make any sense the way the artist envisions then being attached to the body. I’m sorry to say they look pretty lame except for “Meeting Point Wings Tattoo” which is impressive from the stand point of the way they fill the space. They too really don’t make sense the way they are attached, but their scale draws the eyes away from this point.
Try to imagine and work out how wings really might be tied into our skeleton and musculature. If you can do that and have it make sense, then you have something. Other wise they look lame. Sorry – my opinion.
These are cool! I’m more into the smaller ones because I’m not hugely into the idea of having my whole back covered in ink. Follow the Collarbone, Machine Wings, and Tiny Wings Tattoo look cool. I especially like the machine one simply because it’s a possibility I hadn’t considered for my first tattoo. I believe tattoos don’t need to be visible all the time, which is why I want mine on my back. Angel wings are kind of my symbol, so it was my logical choice.
