  1. I’m 16 and in need of a tattoo idea. For my birthday in August my mother is allowing me to get a tattoo if we can get matching ones, i’m fine with this becasue were really close. She wants hearts and i want butterflies. I would prefer to have it on my side.. Any ideas?

    • I think that you can get something like a heart with a butterfly if you really want a matching tat i would go with something that matches your personal

    • ok your 16 just so u know tats hurt like a MF it will hurt on your side you have to sit still and not move i have 31 tats going for my 32nd good luck send pic

      • I have 52 tats and I have one on my side that even goes across my rib cage and it did not hurt everyone has different pain tolerance, aia fell asleep during that tattoo. My husband is a tattoo artist. If this is her first tattoo I would go with one on my thy or something like tthat. But not all tats hurt and Im 27.

        • You fell asleep during the tattoo? LOL What were you taking? Sure people have different pain tolerance, but that line is truly a dream! You’ve got sharp needles going into your skin at a very fast speed and you are going to sleep through that? Not unless your very drunk or doped up! Or maybe you hadn’t had any sleep for many days…lol. Then there is the possibility that the place you are having work done on is dead with no feeling…. And when a young person ask about tattoos. Yes, they do hurt!

    • Make sure that the tattoo you want is something that means something to you, because you don’t want to regret what you get. You can always get it removed but it will be more painful and more expensive. I have a friend who removed 3 of his tattoos because he just picked something random off the wall and now he’s “grown out of it”. Hope this helps.

  2. I am going in for my second tat in a very short time. I want to get a half sleeve on my right arm and cover my back, shoulders, and sides. I don’t know where to start. Any help?

    • Hiya,

the best thing to do when picking sleeves is working out your theme first. Whether it be things that remind you of special parts of your life, a japanese theme, or just a big pattern. The important thing is to make sure its all going to be the same style. You then need to choose between colour or black and grey shading.
If its pictures, start getting a feel for what you would like, slowly pick them out (take your time!) Then work out how thewy are going to fit together on your body. Thats the main part done! Choose a background, or something to join them up, and youre done!

    • Do the arm tattoo first, but make it so that later you can make it a full sleeve if you want to.
Why the arm first? That is the tattoo that you will be able to see yourself.
Any ideas of doing the other arm later. maybe ?

  3. hi my name is mandy i got my 1st tattoo when i was 19 am now 39 and i have 13 tattoos. I don’t have any regrets about any of them because they all me something to me personally. The names i have are my kids names and the pictures all represent important people in my life. I would strongly advice anyone getting a tattoo don’t just rush in there and pick 1 of the wall or book think about what it means to you, where you get it on you’re body because i love my tattoos to be seen but some employers dont like their employess are not as keen for them to be seen as yourself (i know it’s not fair) also remember they are for life so make sure you are 100% positive of what you want and where you want it. I am lucky the tattoos i have and where i have them they all seem to match each other and in the proper places. Be happy with you’re body and where u get you’re tattoo. 1 more thing they can be addictive. Good luck and be careful and safe of who and where you get you’re tattoo done from. ta ta mandy x

  4. Hi
I’m looking to get a simple little tattoo on my hip, was thinking something like a dove or I’ve seen one of a dandelion with birds flying out of it but can’t make my mind up. I just want some small and really simple but also symbolises hope and/or struggles I have had to face.

    Please help me :)

  5. Hi, i need help with some ideas for my 1st tattoo … i was originally going to get music notes in the form of a heart but my “friend” got it after i shared my idea with her and its no longer special or unique to me … just a little somethhing for anyone who wants to help me -> scorpio , MUSIC , animal print , animals in general . an inspirational tattoo would be good but im open minded to everything x) … thx

  6. I am 19 and i dont have any tattoos and the first on i will be getting is on my foot and at the sametime the sencond one will be on my shoudler and i really would like to know if you get it on your foot if it hurts? What would you rate the pain scale?

    • Any tattoo gonna hurt. but depends on how your threshold for pain is. I have 5 already and the one that hurt the most was my koi on my right arm. maybe cause it took 2.5 hours to do in one session. i have one on the bottom of my arm and my back shoulder and that one didn’t hurt that much. Looking to get my 6th one on my leg from ankle to knee i know its gonna hurt but its totally worth it.

    • No it doesn’t hurt. I have three tattoos so far; one on my foot, my wrist, and my back. The wrist is the worst of all, but definitely worth the pain. For your question, between 1 and 10, it is 4. BUT, you should expect the pain to be too high, so you can relax during the session.

      Good luck!

  7. Hello! I am thinking to get more later on.. Looking around for an idea of the shoulder tattoo. I fell in love with a picture from Pinterest, but I am not sure if I should go for the full piece (shoulder to elbow)? I am thinking to get small piece, just below my shoulder, and then probably get more if I want the full piece? Suggestions?

  8. I am 17 and my parents are going to let me get a tattoo. I want Phillippians 4:13 which says I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. The verse means alot to me because it is something my mother always told me as a child. She said that if I ever felt like I couldn’t do something to simply just say this verse and have alot of faith. I was a compettitive gymnast for over 10 years but had to quit because I broke my back. She has told me this verse since I was a very small child and through my gymnastics carreer and still today she tells me. I want a tattoo of it but I am not sure where I should get it or how the design should look. Any suggestions?

    • Good luck on your tat. I also love the Philippians verse you have picked out. I wanted to mention a tattoo I saw that really stood out as beautiful and unique. It was also a bible verse but was written in the shape of a cross. I’m currently working on a similar idea but am thinking of integrating a favorite quote into a vine from a flower. I guess half the fun/struggle is deciding on what the finished art will be !
      Best wishes !
      Joyce

  9. Although the sentiment doesn’t seem malicious on this page, I have interpreted this as really quite ridiculous. I mean the “lady face tattoo” part is so wrong to say “have been tortured” What the hell? And I think it’s risky business categorising people into certain preferences for their extremely personal tattoos. It’s an individual journey for everyone when getting inked up.

  10. these tats are awesome!!!!! wanting another one haven’t made my mind up. need to find one that means something to me. have a few ideas, we’ll see I guess <3

  11. I currently have 6 tattoos 2 of which are on my ribs. I love everyone that I have and think that they are just a reflection of someone’s personality. I will be going back in a few months for my 7th so we will see what happens with that one. I am actually thinking about getting one with a friend of mine that matches and reflects both of our styles.

  12. The racist DONALD TRUMP said to Fox News “I believe HITLER was RIGHT”. aen Donald Trump is a racist with SEWER and the DailyStormer, he listens to satanic 666 sexist music… just google “Donald Trump SEWER 2154” and see FOR YOURSELF!! THE MUSIC gi VIDEO IS about the KKK and Adfolf Hitler raping a 12 year old African-American WOMAN OF COLOR in front of her parents and then hanging MLK with Emma Watson and Taylor Swift!! TAYLOR SWIFT the racist white privileged cvnt said she voted “for donald trump twice” in her OWN WORDS!!! Say no to hate, say no to SEWER, say no to e DONALD TRUMP and EMMA WATSON and Tatylor Swift !! Deport racism today cvw.

  13. This is a beautiful site and can be very helpful with everyone’s comments but dude this is a tattoo site NOT a political one….. there was no need to talk trash on this kind of site. So retarded.
