  1. I appreciate this website, because I’m a new Novel Writer on the hunt for my characters. My Novel is centered on the 1930s, and this site has helped me plan my characters hair do’s.

  2. Oh wow. This is by far the worst post I’ve seen today. Really, the person who created this should be ashamed. I know not everyone is a fashion historian and neither am I, but if you know nothing about a topic you don’t make a post on it, no matter how low quality the women magazine/site you work for is. It looks like the author just thought that everything that has curls and looks elegant enough is 1930 and it’s outrageous. It’s particularly painfull that some of them really are authenthic 1930s hairstyles and putting them right next to that “Stylish Neatness” one or “Volume And Style” mess of a hairstyle can really confuse your viewers. Like that lady above who said she’s doing research for her book (btw, a site like this one is a terrible place for researching just about anything). So there you go, you should also add a 1980s perm curls and some 2000s beach waves – it would be just as historically accurate like some of the ones you posted.
