The film is a Gothic take on the Brothers Grimm classic tale of the same name. Actress Amanda Seyfried will have the lead role as the girl with the red riding hood. Besides Seyfried the cast also includes starring Shiloh Fernandez, Max Irons, Julie Christie, and Gary Oldman.

Director Kelly Asbury (who co-directed Shrek 2) has been working on Gnomeo and Juliet an upcoming CGI animated movie: it’s a loose and edgy adaptation of William Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet. And you probably already guessed from the title, it’s a retelling of Romeo and Juliet using Gnomes. James McAvoy is lending his voice to Gnomeo, and Emily Blunt to Juliet. The voice cast also includes Jason Statham, Ozzy Osbourne, Michael Caine, Patrick Stewart, Matt Lucas, Stephen Merchant and Jim Cummings.
